LA Galaxy x orlando city sc

Orlando City SC beat the LA Galaxy 1-0 at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday afternoon, with Facundo Torres scoring his first-ever MLS goal to put the visitors ahead early. Ercan Kara drove down the right flank on a counter and found Torres in space inside the box for the game's only goal, which came early and against the run of play. In the 9th minute, the Uruguayan attacker scored his first goal in Major League Soccer and put the visitors on the board. Despite the Galaxy's sustained strong performance, which resulted in a 10-3 shot advantage in the first half, the score remained 1-0 at halftime.

In the second half, the Galaxy kept up the pressure, with Efrain Alvarez replacing Douglas Costa at halfway to offer some grit. Pedro Gallese and the Lions' defense, on the other hand, created a force field to prevent the hosts from scoring. This is the Galaxy's second loss of the season following back-to-back victories, especially given that they were unable to score despite a 20-6 shooting lead. Orlando's first win since Opening Day was also the first match they've won in the Pacific Time Zone in six years.
