North Carolina traveled to Seattle to face the OL Reign in hopes of getting out of last place in the NWSL standings. They were unsuccessful, as OL Reign won by a score of 2-0.

Kerolin was all over the place for North Carolina. The 22-year-old Brazilian striker had three separate opportunities to put the ball in the back of the net. One of which came in the 17th minute when she went toe to toe with an OL Reign defender. When the defender tried to slide tackle to get to the ball, Kerolin switched up her footing and went through another defender, and when she shot, the ball just narrowly missed the net and instead hit just the outside netting. Tziarra King answered back as she tried to put OL Reign up before halftime. The attacker had two opportunities of her own as she tried to find the back of the net. Her first attempt was a shot that she took from outside of the penalty box. Her second attempt came in the 36th minute when she received a long cross from a fellow player and when she kicked the ball off of her left foot, she narrowly missed the net. It should be noted that she didn't have full control of the ball. and if she had had full control, that ball would have been scored. Jessica Fishlock even had an attempt of her own to try to put OL Reign up before half. She didn't score this time, but in the second half, she made one.

Fishlock scored her second goal of the season in the 52nd minute. The goal came about when Bethany Balcer found Fishlock wide open sneaking behind her defender for a chance, and when Balcer passed the ball to Fishlock, all she had to do was to get around the goalkeeper for a wide-open shot at the net. In the 74th minute, Fishlock and Balcer connected again, only for Balcer to score this time. It also happened in a similar way to the first goal. Fishlock waited for Balcer to sneak behind the two defenders, and when she does, Fishlock passes the ball to Balcer, who bangs it in for a goal.
