Real Salt Lake x FC Cincinnati

On Saturday night, FC Cincinnati visited Real Salt Lake at America First Field and came away with a 2-1 victory.

After a throw-in deep in Cincinnati's defensive third in the 35th minute, Salt Lake scored. The Orange and Blue were confused at the end line, allowing Salt Lake to score a goal when Jefferson Savarino was left unmarked. With a fast cross from Savarino, Maikel Chang found space in front of the Cincinnati defense and headed the ball into the back of the net for his second goal of the season. After being down by one goal, Cincinnati rallied and tied the game 9 minutes later on Brenner's 13th goal of the year. Brenner scored with help from Alvas Powell, who saw him wide open in the Salt Lake penalty area. The red-hot attacker for Cincinnati set himself up perfectly and sent a low, hard shot on goal. MacMath threw himself in the way of the shot, but he still saw it go through to the back of the goal.

In the 76th minute, Brenner would score the game-winning goal for the Orange and Blue, finishing coolly towards the top of the Salt Lake area. Luciano Acosta made it possible by dribbling past one defender and then putting a ball in towards Brenner. Salt Lake fought for the pass, but it fell at Brenner's feet, and he turned to score on MacMath.
