columbus crew x new york red bulls

On Saturday, the New York Red Bulls were defeated by the Columbus Crew in a match played at Lower.com Field in Ohio. The final score ended 2-1, with the Crew stealing all three points.

Elias Manoel scored a goal for New York by heading in a cross early in the first half to equalize the game. He subsequently missed a penalty that would have brought the score to a tie between the two teams. This broke the hearts of all Red Bulls fans hoping for a dramatic late rescue of at least a point.

Cucho Hernández and Yaw Yeboah both scored a goal for Columbus, which ultimately resulted in the team's win with a final score of 2-1. While the powerhouse that is the Crew left no one truly surprised by this victory, showcased again why they’re consistently securing points at home with such strong performances.

Time will tell if the Crew can keep their form going like this in the long run. But in the meantime, no one is complaining at Lower.com Stadium.
