The 2021 MLS season began in Columbus with both 2020 MLS champions going head to head. With Philadelphia and Columbus both advancing in their respective CCL matches all eyes were on the two top tier prospects as they began their 2021 campaigns. It was a back and forth battle that had most fans on the edge of their seats. Even though the score line would end 0-0 it felt like much more than an empty game. Both teams made it clear that the East would not be so easily won this year. Time will tell whether these sides can defend their crowns throughout this blossoming season.
