NASHVILLE SC x inter miami

Out in Nashville the in form Inter Miami was looking to try and find three more points while visiting the comeback kids of Nashville SC. This match would heat up quickly while Miami showed early promise. Three minutes into the match Lewis Morgan was able to rattle off a powerful shot that looked destined to make it on frame. However, this shot would fly wide showing that the match was bound to be full of action. Just a few minutes later a pass out of the back and a slip and fall from Aníbal Godoy would give Miami a chance to break on Nashville’s goal. The shot itself flew off the boot of Jay Chapman and was equaled with a stellar diving save from Joe Willis keeping the game scoreless. Godoy would later get his chance to make up for his mistake by blasting a shot from 20 yards out that unfortunately took a deflection on it’s path to goal that would lead to a halftime score of 0-0.

The second half would kick off in fantastic fashion with Randall Leal blasting a shot in at John McCarthy who could only parry the ball out for a Nashville corner. Things would truly begin to heat up as the 56th minute came and a misplaced header would leave Robinson on the way to goal and only Walker Zimmerman in a good position to stop him. Naturally, the best thing for him to do was to take one for the team and drug down Robinson. Even though the official would rush to the spot with his hand quickly going to his back pocket Zimmerman would get away with a shifted motion to his front pocket instead picking up just a yellow card. Nashville would then later have the final chance of the match with Dax McCarthy putting a shot on goal off of a late corner for Nashville SC.

The game would come to an end with these two teams once again leaving with a point a piece. Both of these squads look to the future with some tough matches next week. Nashville takes on a very in form New England Revolution while Miami squares off with Eastern Conference foes Atlanta United.
