The young gun from New York continues to turn heads around the league. After scoring his golazo in the first match of the 2021 season , Caden Clark continues to impress for the New York faithful. Today’s match once again would follow the same beats. Both of these teams have been on a hot run since the first match of the season. Chicago has found a new revival this year with their recent additions and even though they came in with steam, New York defended their home.

The action would officially kick off in the 23rd minute when Caden Clark would blast a shot from about 30 yards out. Even though it was directly into the arms of Shuttleworth it proved again that Clark will be formidable from distance. Just a few minutes later in the 34th minute Calvo would attempt an acrobatic bicycle kick that got more than enough power to hit on goal, however the arc of the shot would make it easily watchable and the crisis would quickly be averted. Fabio would get the last chance for the Red Bulls in the first half after holding up play in the 18 he would strike a quick shot that just bounced out on the post. Both teams would enter the locker room tied at 0-0.

The second half would start with a bang for New York. A fast break down the side for the Red Bulls would find a slow reacting Chicago without the ability to press Cristian Casseres as he would slam home the eventual pass to the top of an empty Chicago 18 yard box. This wasn’t the end for New York though. In the 64th minute a header in the Chicago goal area would hang in the air and would be pounced on by who else but Caden Clark. With a beautiful combination of grace and athleticism the 17 year old would do a karate kid powerhouse of a volley that would leave Shuttleworth stranded. It was a beautiful finish that was deserving of New York’s play that day. Time will tell if Caden Clark continues to make a name for himself in New York. Or for that matter, throughout the league.
