Both teams had ample opportunities to put the ball back to the net in the first half but it was Rachel Daily in the 45+3 minute to score the first goal to put Houston up 1-0. The Dash would make it 2-0 in the 66th minute to put the game in the rearview mirror and pull away from the Thorns. As the final whistle blew the Thorns were forced to reflect on what went wrong against the visiting Dash. This was the first loss of the 2022 NWSL season for Portland, and they’ll be primed to make it the last.
