Seattle Sounders x Real Salt Lake

Saturday night at Lumen Field, Sounders FC beat Real Salt Lake 2-0. The Rave Green have started their 2023 MLS season with a perfect 2-0 record, thanks to goals from Jordan Morris and Héber in both games. 

Morris scored again in the 35th minute, bringing his 2023 goal total to three after netting twice in the season debut against Colorado. Morris scored his third goal of the season off a soaring pass from Alex Roldan, which he headed back across the face of the goal and into the goal.

In the 58th minute, Héber extended the advantage by finishing a low cross from Roldan with a redirected header.  Roldan played out of his mind recording his first multi-assist performance that night. And with his second shutout of the year, Stefan Frei moved into third place all-time in league records with 93 total clean sheets.
