COLUMBUS CREW X TORONTO FC

On Saturday night the Crew put on a show while defeating D.C. United, 2-0.

In the 10th minute, the Crew got things going with a truly spectacular strike. Lucas Zelarayán took a touch, passed Russell Canouse, and slid the ball toward the back post after receiving Cucho Hernández's cross, sending The Nordecke into a fury and filling the air with gold and black smoke.

Later, in the 44th minute, Zelarayán scored again after receiving an excellent cross from Alex Matan. For his second incredible goal, Zelarayán began his move in the middle of the field before cutting to the left side of the 6-yard box and finishing with a blistering strike making it 2-0.

D.C. United had a good chance to score in the first half, but Christian Benteke's thunderous shot went just wide of the post. Aside from that, the Crew defense was able to keep the opposition from scoring, leading to a 2-0 victory and a clean sheet.
