TORONTO FC X NASHVILLE SC

At a buzzing BMO Field on May 24, 2025, Nashville SC pulled off a hard-fought 2 to 1 victory over Toronto FC, extending their unbeaten streak to eight matches and leaving the home crowd wanting more.

The game swung back and forth with both teams threatening to take control. Early in the second half, Toronto nearly broke through when Ola Brynhildsen unleashed a stunning bicycle kick, only to be denied by a spectacular save from Nashville’s goalkeeper Joe Willis.

Nashville struck first thanks to a slick combination between Andy Najar and Hany Mukhtar that set up Sam Surridge to score his first goal in the 57th minute. Surridge wasn’t done yet, doubling his tally late in the 89th minute with a brilliant assist from Jonathan Pérez to put Nashville in a commanding position.

Toronto refused to go quietly, and in stoppage time their captain Jonathan Osorio lit up the stadium with a beautiful strike to score his 50th MLS goal, becoming just the third player in club history to reach this incredible milestone. Despite the late heroics, Nashville held firm to claim the win.

This match had drama, skill, and moments to remember for both sides.
