real salt lake x la galaxy

The LA Galaxy battled back from a two-goal deficit to tie 2-2 with Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium on Wednesday night. Rayan Raveloson headed in Julian Araujo's cross in the 77th minute. Victor Vazquez also scored for the Galaxy, who were without MLS joint-leading scorer Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, as well as midfielders Jonathan dos Santos and Efrain Alvarez, for the fourth straight match.

The former has been rehabilitating from a calf injury, while the latter two are competing in the Concacaf Gold Cup for Mexico. LA improved to 1-2-1 in that span thanks to Raveloson's goal. Since signing with LA in mid-May, the Malagasy midfielder/defender has scored three goals in only four games.

After a great connection between Aaron Herrera and Maikel Chang down the right, Albert Rusnak scored his third goal of the season early, and Chang made it 2-0 with a solo cut in from the right and hit from beyond the penalty area.

Anderson In second-half stoppage time, Julio's looping header hit the crossbar, leaving RSL still looking for their third home win in eight attempts.
