Within the opening 20 minutes, Adam Buksa and Daryl Dike swapped goals, but an own goal and a failed penalty kick converted a high-scoring game into a 2-1 victory for the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium on Saturday night.

The Revs are on track to become the best regular-season club in MLS history and handed Orlando their fourth straight loss, jeopardizing their chances of making the playoffs. In the ninth minute, the Revs took the lead. Bou snatched a pass from Tommy McNamara, who sped down the left side and sent a far-post cross that Buksa completed expertly.

Orlando tied the game nine minutes later, with Dike putting up and spinning past old college teammate Henry Kessler. Matt Turner, the Revs' goalie, couldn't control his low blast. However, before halftime, the Revs went ahead again. Rodrigo Schlegel was awarded with an own goal after being entangled with the Polish striker and seeing the ball ricochet off his leg and past goalkeeper Pedro Gallese.

With the win, the Revs set a single-season point record and this puts them on track to win the regular season. They've already clinched a playoff berth, so bigger goals lie ahead. Several Eastern Conference opponents struggled on Saturday aiding Orlando for the time being. But, in order for Oscar Pareja's squad to qualify, they must break out of their present funk and they have a big midweek test coming up in Nashville.
