Chicago fire x philadelphia union

The Chicago Fire struggled to put up a hard enough fight against a visiting Philadelphia team who was searching for their first win of the 2021 MLS campaign. The match showed grit and determination between both squads however the usual solid Union defense lead by Andre Blake would become too much for Chicago to break through while Corey Burke and Jamiro Monteiro would connect to put the Union up after breaking the Chicago defense for a volleyed goal. The cherry on top of the first win would come when Jacob Glesnes would head home a cross to put the Union up 2-0. Even though the Union would secure all three points the real test awaits them in the coming weeks with a heavy game schedule. Chicago seeks to rebound from this setback with their next match up against DC United this coming Thursday.
