FROM THE STANDS

LA GALAXY x SEATTLE SOUNDERS

Victoria Block, the new safe-standing supporters' area, was named by LA Galaxy fans in 2020. The name is a nod to Victoria Street, which runs along the north side of Dignity Health Sports Park. Sections 120-123 of the Victoria Block are home to LA Galaxy supporter's group Angel City Brigade, Galaxians, and Galaxy Outlawz. The Victoria Block is part of a multi-year development at Dignity Health Sports Park to improve the fan and supporter experience. Even though the Galaxy would fall to the visiting Seattle Sounders, photographer Darwin Rosales was in the stands to capture some of the scenes the Angel City Brigade had.

The Seattle Sounders remained undefeated with a 2-1 away victory over the LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday night, courtesy of a game-winning goal by Raul Ruidiaz in the 49th minute. Sacha Kljestan's first-half penalty kick gave the Galaxy the lead, but Yeimar Gomez Andrade's 41st-minute equalizer set up Ruidiaz's winner early in the second half, extending Brian Schmetzer's team's lead atop the Western Conference table to 6W-0L-3D and 21 points.
