New England revolution x fc cincinnati

FC Cincinnati is still stuck in the bottom half of the playoff race, while New England is still looking at the race from just outside. The game got off to a slow start for both teams. Shots were attempted but neither goalkeeper gave up a goal until the 30th minute. Deorde Petrovic would clear the ball, and instead of passing safely to one of his center backs, he opted to play the long ball. Nick Hagglund of FC Cincinnati almost came away with it, but he couldn't get control of the ball, so that's when Sebastian Lletget took his chance and went away with the ball. Lletget saw Dylan Borrero coming down from the wing, so he passed the ball where he took a couple of steps and shot the ball to the far corner of the net making it 1-0. A little later a corner kick was given to Cincinnati in the 41st minute. As the ball was reaching the center of the box, Henry Kessler went up to clear it away with a header. However, he would, unfortunately, miscue the clearance only to score on his net.

In the 55th minute, DeJuan Jones was pushing the ball towards the end line when he saw  Boateng coming down the sideline. Boateng received the ball and almost immediately curled the ball to Gustavo Bou. Bou would then head it into the far side of the net for a goal. In the 69th minute, Dorde Petrovic would make a fantastic save, putting his quick reactions to the test as FC Cincinnati came close to getting the lead back. The ball was kicked hard towards the net and was deflected off a foot by a New England player and ended up flying toward the goal line, but Petrovic stopped it twice as he originally couldn't get control of the ball. New England made some more costly mistakes in the 73rd minute. As Petrovic was putting the ball into play by throwing it into Damian Rivera, he could not get control of the throw, Allan Cruz instantly intercepted the ball and passed it to an open Acosta, who immediately played it off to Brenner, who was standing open right next to him, he then shot the ball towards the New England net and made it 2-2 which was where the match would end.
